Overview of safeguarding, SWBA safeguarding procedure, and who to contact

The Association have a team who can help with the issue of Safeguarding both for Children and Adults at Risk. We are able to offer training to a church or group of churches to make sure that all working with children and those in leadership in the church have the appropriate level of awareness. We would strongly recommend that all churches keep up to date via the Baptist Union of Great Britain Safeguarding webpage - http://www.baptist.org.uk/safeguarding.

To help you know how to respond to an incident and who to contact the flow chart below has been produced.

If you need to contact someone from the Association in an urgent situation please contact Tricia Wiltshire on 07831 701161 or Nick Bradshaw on 07971 490334. If a child or adult is in imminent danger you should contact the Police or Social Services without delay.
